This off-road day trip is made for travelers who want a real desert ride—slow, scenic, and hands-on. On a classic Motobecane moped, we follow desert tracks toward Safsaf oasis, passing wide open landscapes, rocky plateaus, and quiet valleys where you can stop anytime for photos and tea.
When we reach the oasis, the pace changes. We set up a relaxed picnic in the shade, with time to rest, explore the palms, and enjoy the silence of the Sahara. Then comes the best part: we’ll cook a real Berber pizza (madfouna) the traditional way—prepared by hand and baked in the sand/embers, just like people have done here for generations.
No off-road experience is needed—we keep it simple and safe, with a short test ride before we start. It’s a perfect mix of adventure + oasis time + food experience in one day.
